Most Expensive Christmas Gift – Berto meets wise men
Most Expensive Christmas Gift – Berto meets the wise men
The wise men, kings or magi were – according to the Gospel of Matthew and Christian tradition – distinguished foreigners who visited Jesus after his birth, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. They are regular figures in the traditional account of the nativity celebrations of Christmas and are an important part of the Christian tradition.
Were there really three wise men that visited the nativity birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem some 2000 years ago? The Scriptures don’t mention the number of men but do describe three expensive gifts: myrrh being commonly used as an anointing oil, frankincense as a perfume, and gold as a valuable.
Printer ink is often stated to be the most expensive ink on the planet. It is not, but it is certainly more expensive than exotic perfumes and the finest wines.
