Ninestar to Finish Phase I Construction for Hi-Tech Printer Manufacturing Base
Ninestar continues to build what will become the largest printer manufacturing factory in the world.
China-based Ninestar has told RT Media the first-phase construction of its hi-tech printer manufacturing base is will be completed soon.
Construction of the industrial park will be completed in two phases, occupying 600,000 square meters and 300,000 square meters respectively. Work began back in April 2019 in Phase I which is expected to be officially put into operation in the first half of 2021. The projected output is for 2 million printer units. The company reveals that the manufacturing of 4 million printer units will be achieved when full production is underway.
The industrial park covers an area of 900,000 square meters with a total investment of 9 billion RMB (US$1.38 billion).
“At present, Zhuhai is transforming into a hub type core city and a modern, international special economic zone. In this crucial period, Ninestar, the top five laser printer manufacturer in the world and one of Zhuhai’s leading listed companies, takes the lead and embarks on a new journey of high-quality development,” so says a spokesperson from Ninestar.
“Ninestar will constantly introduce advanced concepts such as intelligent manufacturing and smart logistics, which will help to build a high-tech industrial park,” the spokesperson added.
Previously, Ninestar announced the completion of the first stage of Building F1 of Ninestar’s new printer manufacturing base in July 2020.
Situated at Gaolan Port in Zhuhai, the project has been underway since first being announced on April 9, 2018. At that time, Ninestar announced it had signed an agreement with the Administrative Committee of Gaolan Port Economic Zone to start the project of High-Tech Equipment and Intelligent Manufacturing of Laser Printers in Zhuhai.
