Zhono Responses to HP & Ricoh & Canon Firmware Upgrade
Firmware Upgrade
In June 2024, Ricoh, HP, Canon and Brother released the latest firmware for the Ricoh MP C4504/MP C5002/MP C2504 series copiers, HP W1331 series copiers, Canon NPG88 series copiers and Brother TN-2420 series printers (see Figure 1).
After testing, Zhono’s engineers verified that Zhono compatible chips used in these series printers and copiers are not impacted by the OEM firmware upgrade, and that the chips function correctly on the printers and copiers in both previous and current models.
Figures below show the Supplies Status Pages of Zhono chips that successfully tested after the printers and copiers updated to the latest firmware (see the red boxes for the latest versions).
Zhono will continue to monitor OEM firmware upgrades. As soon as the firmware upgrades are released, Zhono will promptly respond to updates and remain committed to providing customers with safe and reliable chip solutions.
