Xerox Delays Patent Auction
Saying it has received numerous requests for additional time, Xerox Corp. is delaying a planned auction of 239 U.S. patents.
Bidding had been scheduled to take place next week. Now it will take place Sept. 11-16.
The patents came out of research work at its various global R&D centers, including the Xerox Research Center in Webster.
The patents will be sold as lots organized into categories such as web content, audio communications, touchscreen, networking and print systems. Intellectual property broker ICAP, whom Xerox is working with on the sale, has estimated prices of as much as $10 million for each lot.
