Biggest Expo Organiser Honoured by Tourism Leaders

Zhuhai, May 21, 2013

The newly formed Zhuhai Expo Tourism Association has honored the founder of the largest print consumables expo in the world, by appointing him Executive Vice President.

Tony Lee, who also lives in Zhuhai, is the publisher and managing director of Recycling Times Media Corporation.

Mr. Lee will support Mr. Zuode Zhou, the General Manager of Airshow China, who has been appointed President.

More than 70 organizations have joined the association. They include expo organizers, owners of expo halls, expo study groups, expo agents, transport companies, hotels, restaurants, and travel agencies.

“It’s a great honor for me,” says Tony Lee. “I will help the association to better serve the print consumables industry in China, and profile Zhuhai as an international expo city.”

RemaxAsia Expo, which is run by Recycling Times Media Corporation, includes a one-day conference and three-day trade show. It has been held every year since 2007 in Zhuhai—which has become the world capital of printing consumables manufacturing. It became the world’s largest printing consumables trade event and was ranked in the Top 500 Modern Industrial Projects of the Guangdong Province in 2010. Last year, it attracted 425 exhibitors and 9,035 buyers from around the world.

The conference, held the day before the show, provides vital communications between the original (OEM) and aftermarket manufacturers on industry developments and trends.

RemaxAsia is a significant and influential expo for the global industry. On May 6, it was ranked 11th out of 115 events, and the only office supplies expo in China, in the 2013 Preferred Expo Guide. The exclusive list is published by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.

iPrint (China) Expo—also run by Recycling Times Media Corporation—began in 2012, as the first digital press and commercial printing show in China. The 3-day show attracted more than 80 exhibitors and 4,500 visitors from around the world

Both RemaxAsia and iPrint (China) 2013 expos will be held from October 16 to 19 in the Zhuhai Airshow Center. This year, 3D and other personalized printing products will be on display as well as new printing consumable solutions.

Besides RemaxAsia, other expos, including Airshow China and the International Forum on China General Aviation, were also held in Zhuhai. So the Zhuhai government decided to develop expo tourism and established the Expo Bureau. The bureau has approved and carried out the Zhuhai Expo Industry Scheme for 2011-2020.
