Woman Sentenced for Printer Scam

A south London woman has been sentenced for participating in a scam costing a victim almost £38,000 for two printers.

According to Standard.co.uk, one victim paid £37,945.18 for two printers on a fake website, but never received a thing. The same happened to another man who lost £3,675 online in a separate scam for a lawnmower.

34 year old Olamide Aina, driven by greed, allowed her account to be used to funnel off the fraudulent money. She was arrested after her bank records were traced.

According to Southwark Crown Court, Olamide Aina faces two years’ imprisonment, 200 hours of unpaid work and is suspended for two years.
