Ian Cowley is the Managing Director of www.cartridgesave.co.uk, the UK’s largest online dedicated printer cartridge company with a £50+ million turnover.

Using a scientific approach to marketing Ian and his Marketing Director Sean Blanks, have created an e-retailer which manages 100,000+ orders a month; ranks above all its competitors on independent shopper surveys on sites including Google and Trust Pilot; and is the UK’s fastest growing printer supplies retailer in terms of sales.

A serial entrepreneur, Ian managed his first start-up as an undergraduate. In 2000 as part of his year-out in industry, he joined Small Island Trader, a premium tableware retailer. Within nine months he was appointed Company Director, quitting university to transform the fledgling enterprise, quadrupling the workforce and increasing turnover from £150,000 to £1 million.

In 2003, he left Small Island Trader to subsequently consult with the original Cartridge Save. Recognising the opportunity being missed by the original owners, he negotiated the acquisition of the company for the cost of the stock – a grand total of £4,000 – and went on to create cartridgesave.co.uk, one of Britain's top 100 private companies in terms of fastest-growing sales over their latest three years
