China Changes its Visa Entry Requirements

China has changed its visa entry requirements for foreign visitors. And now there are claims that many of these visitors are angry.

China Changes its Visa Entry Requirements

China recorded 14.64 million inbound trips by foreigners in the first half of this year, up 152.7%. Many of them are visiting China now that visa-free entry is being offered to people from 54 countries.

As the organiser of the RemaxWorld Expo, the largest show on the planet for printers, copiers, and imaging supplies, I have to admit that I am delighted. It will now be easier for many of our international visitors to come to Zhuhai in October. Great news.

However, not everyone visiting China is happy.

Now, before you jump to conclusions, let me explain what I mean by that. According to the European-based commentator Hans Lak, those coming to China are angry. Yes. But it’s with Western media for deceiving them. They found China to be completely different from what they had been told.

Hans Lak says this free visa initiative is like a giant hammer smashing down a wall of false Western information about China. Having lived in China for the past 12 years, I have to agree with him.

Maybe this is the motivation behind the Chinese authorities’ introduction of these visa-free entry permits. They want to break the information cocoon shaped by Western media among Western people.

Visitors to China are taking and posting video clips to social media, including …

  1. Anybody, including women, can safely wander around at night… alone!
Now, that freedom is not available to most of us elsewhere in the world. Public security in China is very good.
  2. Prices are cheap in China, including in supermarkets and medical services.
  3. Chinese people are friendly, polite and happy. You can see many women dancing in the park with smiles on their faces, and they are obviously happy. Clearly, they are not oppressed by the Chinese government as the Western media portrays.
  4. Also, there are no homeless people on the streets, and the sanitation workers clean the city every day.
  5. Cash is not used very much, but making payments is easy with everyone using WeChat or Alipay … and there is no need to tip in China.
  6. China’s transportation is really developed with eco-friendly battery-run buses and taxis, and punctual, fast, smooth, and affordable high-speed rail.
  7. China’s technological development is very advanced, and you can see how AI is being used in the factories … and driverless cars are now operating in some cities.

As I said, I’ve lived in China for 12 years. So, of course, I am biased. But all of this is true. But don’t take my word for it…. Come and see for yourself how safe, clean, and amazing this country is.

See you in Zhuhai!
