123inkt Finally Presented with E-Commerce Award

Six months after winning a prestigious E-commerce Leadership award, the trophy and citation have arrived at 123inkt in the Netherlands.

The annual RT Global Industry Awards are held during RemaxWorld Expo. In 2020, the awards were announced live in a 25-minute virtual event broadcast globally on November 20 on Vimeo and YouTube featuring video responses from each of the winners.

Eleven industry awards were presented to 15 companies around the world involved in printers, copiers and imaging supplies. A panel of 14 independent industry experts from America, Africa, Asia, Europe and Oceania, sorted through thousands of nominations to judge the final winners.

Ferry Korten (pictured), the CEO of 123inkt since November 2019, received the award and citation from RT Media’s European partner, Mark Dawson.

Korten has been with 123inkt for 17 years—a leading Dutch webshop with over 3 million customers, mostly in the Netherlands and Belgium. Founded in 1995, the company specializes in printer and office supplies including ink and toner cartridges. It has also been the Winner of Dutch “Best Webshop”​ awards every year for the past 13 years through to and including 2020.

“Covid-19 has made it impossible to travel and do business the regular way,” said Korten. “I really appreciate the effort everyone has gone to to get this trophy and citation freighted, then delivered personally to me. I’d like to thank those who nominated us, the judges and RT Media for this recognition.”

123inkt.nl was chosen to be the winner of the 2020 E-commerce Leadership Award “for providing a choice, with quality, non-infringing, new or remanufactured printer cartridges to its more than 3 million satisfied online clients, having won the “best webshop in Holland” award for 13 years in a row and successfully fighting off legal challenges and appeals from H.P. and Samsung at the Court of Appeals in The Hague.”

Four companies in Europe, another four in North America and seven in China received awards in one of the following categories ( in alphabetical order):

The next RT Global Imaging awards will be held in September 2021.
