2014 Dates Set for World’s Largest Consumables Event
A brand new, international exhibition centre opens in Zhuhai, China in 2014, and is set to host the largest global trade show for the computer printing industry. Positioned just minutes from downtown hotels and looking across the water to picturesque Macao, has organizers excited about the new business opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike.
Organisers have just set the dates for the 8th annual event in Zhuhai, China for 16-18 October 2014. The international conference, featuring OEM, market analyst, legal and aftermarket leaders, will be held the day before the three day expo, on October 15.
The 2013 RemaxAsia Expo broke all records. Significantly more international visitors attended than ever before. The 432 exhibits covering 30,000 square meters, an area larger than 5 football grounds, attracted 11,232 visitors from 81 countries. There was a larger presence of OEMs, including Hewlett Packard (HP), Lexmark and other original printer manufacturers, with some speaking at Conference@2013 the preceding day, attracting 212 delegates. HP told the global printer cartridge aftermarket they need to stop confusing consumers with messages shown on the printer’s screen when an aftermarket cartridge is used. To this end, HP has released a white paper so the aftermarket industry can better understand what it needs to do, to comply. It was the first time any OEM has publicly acknowledged the aftermarket industry, which was a great step forward for both groups.
Zhuhai not only hosts the largest global industry event, but the southern Chinese city also produces more print consumables than anywhere else in the world—and has become known as the world capital of print consumables. RemaxAsia Expo organizers have scheduled the 2014 event to run in the same week as other important shows such as the China Sourcing Fair, the Hong Kong Electronic Fair, and the Canton Fair, saving international buyers’ time and costs while visiting several shows in the same week.
The 2014 event will be relocated to the brand new Zhuhai international Convention & Exhibition Center, which is close to the downtown hotels and Macau. Wanzai port is just 3 minutes from the venue and another 5 minutes to Macau by ferry. Many exhibitors and visitors will attend RemaxAsia Expo and iPrint (China) Expo in Zhuhai in the daytime, and then hop over to Macau for the night to relax and enjoy casino food and entertainment. This “Las Vegas” style environment will greatly enhance the show experience for RemaxAsia Expo and iPrint (China) Expo participants. The venue provides for 6 exhibition halls, and when used as a single hall, has 30,000 sqm. It includes state-of-the-art, world-class facilities, better air conditioning, more choices of restaurant and faster internet connections.
Organisers expect there will be more exhibitors and visitors attending the RemaxAsia Expo 2014. At the same time 3D printing & iPrint (China) Expo 2014 will be held at the venue attracting even more visitors.
Kevin Zhu, sales manager of Recycling Times Media Corporation, commented: “With the success of RemaxAsia 2013, most exhibitors are wanting to book their space for 2014. At least 20 companies have confirmed they need a bigger booth than in 2013. Some other international exhibitors have also expressed they will attend including Static Control, Future Graphics, UniNet, Integral, IPM, Inktec.”
