Apex Rolls out New Replacement Chips for Epson IC82 Series
Apex Microelectronics (Apex) announced the release of the global first replacement chips for the new Epson cartridge series used in portable printers PX-S05B and PX-S05W.
In August this year, Epson launched its new series of printers using supplies ICBK82 or ICCL82. Small in size, they can print without exterior power supply providing storable power. In September, Epson released in Japan desktop printers Epson EP-977/EP-907/EP-807/EP-707/EP-777, which use IC81/79/80/78/77 series supplies. In addition, a European version of PX-S05W, WorkForce WF-100W has been introduced, using supply 266/267. It is expected that the new Epson printer series is soon coming to other regions of the world.
According to Apex, the cartridges of the new printer series feature better printer performance and new functions. Also, the cartridge structure has been changed and the chip technology updated to a new generation. Apex claimed its new replacement chips have gone through tests, with samples available now.
Also available is the OEM chip reset solution for the IC80L/IC80/IC82 series cartridges.
