BentSai Makes Printing Easy at Hand
A new handheld, wide-format inkjet printer has been released by China-based Zhuhai BentSai Printing Technology (BentSai).
It allows those working from home as well as small to medium-sized businesses to be able to print a single time onto a carton, plastic bag or a package. Others can creatively print onto other substrates including ceramics, clothing, metals and timber.
“The B80 is a world first,” the company spokesperson told RT Media. “This innovation of its kind has been granted more than 50 patents and obtained many certifications domestically as well as internationally.” The company claims the product meets CE, RoHS, FCC, KC and IEC standards and the appropriate certificates have been issued.
“Utilizing the leading domestic Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) core production process of thermal inkjet foaming print head, the new release broke through the ‘glass ceiling’ splicing challenges within inkjet technologies. It’s high-precision circuit layouts utilise precise software algorithms.
“This new release uses our self-developed, one-inch-wide printhead,” the spokesperson explained. “It is the world’s first handheld inkjet printer to contain four printheads.”
The company designed the new printer to have refillable cartridges to help reduce operating costs for users. The water-based ink is moisture-proof and suitable for use on porous materials and can permeate the surface of printed materials. “Our innovative hardware protection solution enables users to disassemble the cartridges while the power remains on without causing any damage to the printhead,” RT Media was told.
The new B80 handheld wide-format inkjet printer has a printing speed of up to 30m/min while printing with a height between 25mm and 100mm. Because each printhead can print up to 10 lines at a single time, the printer can deliver up to 40 lines of printing at a single pass, all at 300 dpi resolution.
The printer is amazingly small given the width, length and resolution it can print. Its dimensions are 239mm x 182mm x 117mm and it only weighs 1.25kg including the battery. The new release also supports USB expansion memory as well as optional Wi-Fi functionality.
“The B80 handheld printer supports various printing including text, numbers, symbols, graphics, time, date, variable counters or codes (including DM, barcodes and text). At the same time, it can also print in multiple colors, such as black, white, magenta, yellow, blue, green as well as anti-counterfeiting UV sensitive colors,” the spokesperson explained.
Targeting the global market, the new release is embedded with a 5-inch, full-color touchscreen displays that support various languages including English, Japanese, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai, Vietnamese, Russian, Arabic, Turkish, Italian, French, Indian and Persian. Of course, it supports Chinese as well.
The B80 handheld wide-format inkjet printer can be used in industries using building materials, packaging, cartons, pipes, manufacturing, logistics and warehousing.
