Brother Expands Printer Production in Philippines
Brother Industries Philippines Inc., a subsidiary of Brother Industries, Ltd., unveiled its third printer factory in Tanauan, Batangas.
According to tribune.net.ph, the expansion is set to increase Brother’s production capacity to meet the growing demand for its products.
The unveiling of its third factory was graced by Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual, who recognized the project as a positive development for the Philippine manufacturing sector.
Brother Industries Philippines Inc. is one of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority’s locators and a major manufacturer of printers and other office equipment, operating in the Philippines for 12 years now.
From its current 9,000 Filipino employees, the company’s third factory is expected to create over 3,000 new jobs and boost the economy.

Brother is a leading manufacturer of printers, sewing machines, and other office equipment. In 2022, Brother reached a milestone in recycling: 40 million toner cartridges remanufactured or recycled globally since the program began in Europe in 2004, enough to reach from Brother’s global Recycling Technology Centre in Wales to their headquarters in Nagoya, Japan.
Brother’s recycling program began by processing a handful of cartridges in 2004. Since then, it has grown to remanufacturing approximately 3 million toner cartridges a year. Globally, customers can return empty cartridges to one of Brother’s four remanufacturing facilities in Wales, Slovakia the USA or Asia free of charge via their website.
