Canon Achieves Total of 3,825 Patents Awarded

Canon U.S.A. announced its parent company (Canon), has been awarded 3,825 patents to date and continues to rank among the top five U.S. patent holders for the 28th consecutive year.

In 2013, Canon achieved an increase of 20% over 2012 in the number of patents granted. As was revealed by IFI Claims Patent Services (a global patent information resource), “Canon ranked third overall, and for the ninth consecutive year, Canon ranked first among Japanese companies for the number of U.S. patents granted in 2013”.
