Canon Orders More Amazon Removals in Two Countries

Canon Inc. has filed a Report Infringement Form with Amazon.com.tr in Turkey.

The claim is based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 25 of the Turkish portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model CF226X offered by MS BİLGİSAYAR LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ under the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B01NB0ZEKP.

Amazon claimed the respective product was removed from sale. This product is compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model and provides inter alia a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.

On the Same Day

Canon announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.com in the United States seeking the removal of Amazon.com listings for certain toner cartridges sold by JSL GO for use in HP laser beam printers.

Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model HP CE310A, CE311A, CE312A, CE313A, CF350A, CF351A, CF352A and CF353A toner cartridges sold by JSL GO via Amazon.com infringed Canon’s U.S. Patent No. 8,688,008. Canon requested that Amazon remove JSL GO’s listings for those products, namely, JSL GO’s listings with Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (“ASINs”):

At the time of this announcement, the above-identified JSL GO listings were no longer available on Amazon.com.
