Canon Requests More Takedowns
Canon continued its efforts in fighting against infringement, seeking certain toner cartridges removed from the Amazon listings.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CC530A, CC531A, CC532A and CC533A toner cartridges sold by KJM Online Enterprise via Amazon.ca infringed Canon’s Canadian Patent no. 2,635,791. Canon requested the removal of the corresponding listings for these products, having Amazon Standard Identification Number B01LY5ZSD5.
At the time of this announcement, the above identified listings were no longer available on Amazon.ca.
Canon Inc. filed Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.it, Amazon.de, Amazon.es and Amazon.co.uk based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the Italian, German, Spanish and UK portions of Canon’s European Patent EP 1 977 289 (“EP ‘289”) regarding certain models of toner cartridges offered by jinniuqu penpen riyongpin jingyingbu under the following ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers).
Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products. These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge models and provide inter alia a non-OEM housing and a non-OEM force receiving device according to claim 1 of EP ‘289. Furthermore, they comprise an elastic portion according to claim 2 of EP ‘289.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CF210A, CF211A, CF212A, CF213A, CE410A, CE410X, CE411A, CE412A and CE413A toner cartridges sold by FOXWOODS VENTURE INC via Amazon.com infringed Canon’s U.S. Patent No. 8,588,646. Canon requested that Amazon remove FOXWOODS VENTURE INC’s listings for those products, namely, FOXWOODS VENTURE INC’s listings with Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (“ASINs”) B08V5842RP, B08NPMFPYM and B07W3TX4V6.
At the time of this announcement, the above-identified FOXWOODS VENTURE INC listings were no longer available on Amazon.com.
