Canon Sued Another Aftermarket Supplier in Netherlands
Today, Canon announced it has filed lawsuit against Seine (Holland) B.V. for infringing its European Patent (NL) number 2 087 407 through the importation and sales of certain toner cartridges for use in various models of Hewlett-Packard laser beam printers. The case was presented before the District Court The Hague in Netherlands.
One week ago, Canon has sued Aster Technology Holland B.V. over the same infringement. The company asserts it respects the intellectual property rights of other companies and individuals and is determined to take legal action against infringement.
Industry analysts predict Canon is likely to take more aggressive action against more aftermarket suppliers in Netherlands.
