Canon Unveils Eight Pixma Printers
Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has unveiled its latest additions to the Pixma range of inkjet printers. Of the eight models it unveiled, two are entry-level units — the Ink Efficient E400 and E560.
The E400 is targeted at students and cost conscious users, as a single black ink cartridge will only cost them RM25, making it one of the most affordable all-in-one inkjet printers to use in the long run.
Canon claims a single black ink cartridge can print up to 400 documents while a hybrid colour ink cartridge, which costs RM49.90 can print up to 300 pages.
The printer can churn out monochrome documents at approximately 8ipm (images per minute) and colour at 4ipm, with a print resolution of 4,800 x 600dpi (dots per inch).
On the other hand, the E560’s black ink cartridge which costs RM39,90 can print up to 800 monochrome documents. The colour cartridge costs RM49.90 and can print up to 300 pages.
The E560 has a print speed of 5.6 ipm for colour and 9.9ipm for monochrome, and has a print resolution of 4,800 x 1,200dpi.
This printer also features wireless connectivity and supports Cloud printing. The user will be able to print from anywhere using the company’s Pixma Printing Solutions app which is available for free for iOS and Android devices.
The E400 and E560 retail for RM248 and RM398, respectively.
The other printers Canon revealed are the Pixma iP2870, iP8770, iX6770, iX6870, MX477 and MX537.
“We believe that with these models we can continue to delight our consumers and effectively cater to their needs,” said Canon consumer system product assistant director Jeffrey Kung.
