Canon Unveils Seven New imagePROGRAF Printers

Canon (China) recently introduced four new imagePROGRAF large-format single-function printers and three multifunction models with Z36 scanners. The new releases include the imagePROGRAF TZ-5320 and TZ-5320 MFP, designed for high-efficiency production, and the TX-5420/5320/5220 and TX-5420 MFP/5320 MFP, catering to high-end market demands.

These printers are tailored for the CAD and poster printing markets, serving industries such as architecture, design, manufacturing, and output services. The launch expands the range of print applications to include retail posters, corporate notices, and government announcements.

Improved Color Accuracy and Faster Production

Canon’s new imagePROGRAF TZ and TX series feature advanced magenta ink and enhanced image processing, significantly improving color accuracy. Compared to previous models, these updates widen the color gamut, especially in the red spectrum when using standard paper. This makes them ideal for producing vibrant, eye-catching posters or detailed architectural blueprints. With full pigment ink, the printers can deliver sharp color details and high-quality output for both color and black-and-white prints.

The TZ-5320, the fastest model in the series, can print up to four pages per minute, while the TX models offer a speed of about 3.3 pages per minute. Both series incorporate an “intelligent roll paper system” that automatically detects paper type, delivers faster paper feeding, and reduces roll installation time by 33%.

Ease of Use, Smart Features, and Environmental Considerations

The imagePROGRAF printers are designed with user convenience in mind. The TZ-5320 allows for front-end operation, enabling users to replace rolls without downtime, enhancing overall productivity. It also features a top-loading design that can stack up to 100 sheets of standard paper, making it easy for users to retrieve prints without bending.

For those seeking an integrated solution, the TZ-5320, TX-5420, and TX-5320 models are compatible with a Z36 scanner, creating a compact multifunction printer (MFP). The Z36 scanner delivers fast and accurate scanning, enabling quick document management and optimization, particularly in design and office environments. Additionally, Canon has incorporated robust security features such as PIN authentication and automatic hard drive encryption, ensuring the safety of sensitive data during print jobs.

Canon has also made strides in sustainability by replacing foam packaging with recyclable corrugated cardboard. These eco-friendly measures reflect the company’s commitment to reducing environmental impact while meeting the growing demand for large-format inkjet printers.
