Cartridge World France to Distribute Print-Rite Pelikan Brands

Cartridge World France has been appointed as an authorised non-exclusive distributor of Print-Rite and Pelikan branded printer cartridges in French-speaking regions.

Steve Weedon (pictured), CEO of Print-Rite Pelikan Solutions GmbH and Print-Rite Europe Limited says this will provide local sales and marketing support for dealers and resellers following the recent closure of the Pelikan office in Paris.

“I am very happy to have come to a new arrangement with Cartridge World France quickly, that enables us to continue providing the products and services to customers in the region,” Weedon said. “Cartridge World France has a strong reputation in the market place and meet all our criteria as an ethical business operator to allow us to authorize the company as our distributor.”

“The Pelikan brand delivers high quality and high levels of brand recognition with end-users and dealers across Western Europe, the Americas and a number of other important regions. The brand itself was established in 1838 and has over 182 years become synonymous to stand for reliability, dependability and trustworthiness. The brand is unique in that it has instant end-user recognition and has a passionate following.”

Weedon added the Pelikan’s brand objectives for imaging consumables is to grow globally and this announcement is a key step to achieving the goal for French-speaking customers.  He said the Pelikan brand offers a new and different approach where dealers can increase their average selling prices, make more cash profit and get rewarded with all kinds of bonuses, rebates and of course, Pelikan Points as they grow. “This is what the OEMs do and it works. That will be the approach for Pelikan and honestly, that’s what’s getting the industry excited”

According to Weedon, partnering with Cartridge World France SARL makes a lot of sense for both parties. “They hold the master franchise license for Cartridge World in France and this alliance means that their Franchisees will benefit from having direct access to the PrintRite range of products and the Pelikan brand. Our distribution centre in the Netherlands will be able to get products to those Franchisees quickly and this whole arrangement will be of benefit to them as well as the other dealers and resellers in France who we want to work with.”
