Cartridge World Holds Annual Focus on the Franchise Event
Cartridge World held its annual Focus on the Franchise event in Harrogate, UK and used the conference as a platform to launch its strategy for growth of the business until 2015. At this occasion, Cartridge World announced a key logistics and distribution partnership with Badger Office Supplies, which went into effect in July 2013. Also, the firm took advantage of the gathering to outline details of its relationship with leading international franchise sales company Franchise Dynamics.
Over 100 franchisees attended the event, which started with presentations from keynote speakers including Cartridge World Chairman John Richardson, Executive Chairman and Group CEO, Rod Young, Badger Office Supplies Chief Executive Dennis Haines and Robert Stidham, President and Chief Development Officer of Franchise Dynamics.
A series of seminars and presentations ran throughout the day including key sessions designed to help Cartridge World franchisees maximize their sales and marketing activities.
Commenting on this year’s Focus on the Franchise event, Cartridge World Chairman, John Richardson, said: “I was delighted to see so many of our franchisees in Harrogate and to receive such positive feedback on the presentations and seminars. Running alongside the event was an exhibition where franchisees discussed the requirements of their businesses directly with suppliers. Exhibitors included Jero Productions, MSE, PEC Shopfitter, Brother, Greentrees International and DMS Systems.
The event was rounded off with an Agatha Christie themed Gala Dinner at The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate and an award ceremony recognizing the successes of the Cartridge World franchisees and employees over the past 12 months.
Franchisee of the Year 2013, sponsored by Badger Office Supplies, was won by Alex and Hugh Pattison-Appleton of Cartridge World Hereford, Hereford City Centre and Leominster.
Business to Business Champion 2013, sponsored by Delacamp, was awarded to Claude Esposito from Cartridge World Chester and Ellesmere Port.
Special recognition awards were sponsored by Static Control, Delacamp and OCP. These were presented to Sarah Dyckhoff from Cartridge World Aylesbury, Daniel Fensom from Croydon, Croydon Central and Crawley, Darren Turner of Accrington, Blackburn and Rawtenstall, Terry Jeffery from Cheltenham and Gloucester, and Graham Burgess and Tracy Morris from Bognor Regis, Goring and Littlehampton.
The Cartridge World Employee of the Year 2013 award was shared by Gavin Askew, Distribution and Supplies Manager and Jane Parsons, Business Development Manager.
