Cartridge World UK to Have a New CEO

John Richardson, current Chairman of Cartridge World UK, will change to his next leadership role closer to his Surrey home at the end of October. He notified the board of directors in early this year.

As a transition of the management, Mr. John Richardson will work during the next few months with Allan Corder, new CEO of Cartridge World UK. John Richardson will also complete a number of key initiatives before he leaves, including the “proposed supply and distribution partnership with Badger Office Supplies”.

Cartridge World claimed that Richardson has made substantial progress during his tenure, though due to the “difficult European and UK economy full delivery of the strategic plan will continue through to 2015”. Also, the company stated that Allan Corder has “substantial experience” in the global printing industry, and was the former CEO of Canon Australia and New Zealand. In his previous role, he “built the business” into a $1 billion (€762.8 million) turnover “market leader”, and gained substantial experience in franchising networks.

Mr. John Richardson joined Cartridge World UK as Chairman in May 2011, and aimed to rebuild Cartridge World in the EMEA region and to prepare for a potential future sale.
