Chipjet Chips Not Affected by HP Firmware Update
The news that HP had released a firmware update (2025A/2021B) in June for the HP 63/302 series of printers set all aftermarket chip manufacturers in a spin. Each tested its chips to see how they may be impacted.
Hangzhou Chipjet Technology Co., Ltd (Chipjet), a subsidiary of Hubei Dinglong Co., Ltd, checked, verified and was relieved to claim its chips were not affected by the June firmware update that impacted inkjet printers.
A company spokesperson told RT Media that Chipjet chips are “anti-upgrade” and available for supply. They advise that they are taking orders and answering questions from customers in various global regions.

The spokesperson added that as one of the first-class chip solutions provider based in China, Chipjet is always dedicated to driving the development of defensive solutions and providing a quick response mechanism in the aspect of anti-firmware updates.
The company has its own professional firmware update monitoring teams. “We unceasingly supervise the universal chips of various brands on a 24/7 basis and fix problems as soon as they emerge to provide the best technical support and service to our customers.”
