Consolidation between China and European Aftermarket Companies
Shanghai Huatai Computer Consumables Co., Ltd (better known as “Vivicolor”) has announced that it has been 100% acquired by Gradum International Limited, a Hong Kong subsidiary of the Digital Revolution BV of the Netherlands.
Recycling Times was informed that in the wake of the acquisition, Vivicolor will retain its current management team and operations mode. The former general manager, Ella Ding will step in as the managing director of Vivicolor. By capitalizing on the resources from the new investor, Vivicolor will continue its mode of operations, with additional focus on quality control, supply chain management to better serve customers and exploring new markets.
Mr. Wu Chengai, the former Chairman of Vivicolor, commented on the acquisition, “The acquisition is based a long-term cooperation of more than 10 years. The acquisition itself means a recognition of our work. With the new investment, Vivicolor will be better integrated into the industry chains and be able to deliver better product quality, which will definitely improve our competitive capability.”
Digital Revolution revealed that the acquisition is the product of a process of over 2 years. Gerben Kreuning, CEO and founder of Digital Revolution said: “We are cautious investors, certainly in the current unfavorable economic conditions, but we have faith in Vivicolor, its team and its products and have a positive outlook in the industry as a whole.”
Ella Ding, the former GM and newly appointed managing director of Vivicolor said the following: “I really appreciate the long term trust and support of our management team from both the former board and the new shareholder. For reasons of adherence to the product quality and persistence in re-manufactured products, we were able to stand firmly all the way in the run up to the acquisition. The acquisition is beneficial not only to the company itself, but also to our customers and suppliers. Such a change encourages our team to focus on the re-manufactured products, quality and services. We hope that our cooperative partners will hold hands with us, to create more brilliant possibilities in the realms of re-manufactured consumables together.”
