An investment of 200 million RMB (US$ 31 million), the advanced materials research institute project is said to focus on the R&D and application of semiconductor process materials, semiconductor display materials and other core imported alternative innovative materials for national strategic emerging industries, as well as industry-university-research cooperation.
Dinglong Chairman Zhu Shuangquan, President Zhu Shunquan attended the ceremony, along with more than 100 representatives including Dinglong senior management members, and research staff.
“Today, we are not merely laying a foundation stone for a building, or for a research institute, we are laying a foundation stone for Dinglong’s dream of the next ten or twenty years,” said president Zhu Shunquan in the ceremony. He also revealed that Dinglong’s vision is to become an advanced material company, within and outside of China, in the fields of panels, integrated circuit process materials and semiconductor packaging materials.
“The establishment of the advanced materials research institute can effectively integrate Dinglong’s R&D resources and accelerate the company’s technology development, achievement transformation and industrialization application processes in the semiconductor process and display materials and other national strategic emerging industries businesses. It is the implementation of the company’s innovative materials platform corporate development strategy. It will exert a positive impact on the company’s core competitiveness and the realization of high-quality sustainable development,” said the spokesman of Dinglong.
The advanced materials research institute project is reported to cover 2,715 square meters, with a one-year construction.
