Dubai Event for Suppliers and Buyers Caps Off Successful Week

Three events in three different cities and countries is a daunting concept for organisers and exhibitors alike, especially when held only a few days apart.

The third and final event in Dubai saw 91 VIP buyers from 68 companies and 36 exhibitors participate on April 30 at the world-class Anantara Downtown Hotel in Dubai. Exhibitors were mainly from China, India, South Korea and Poland.

“We surpassed our goals of 300 visitors from 150 companies by 34% over the three days,” said David Gibbons, the International Communication and Events Director of Comexposium Recycling Times (C-RT), the event organiser. “This RT VIP Imaging Expo focussed on those who can import and export products and was by invitation only.”

“We chose 5-star hotels and venues and provide extraordinary catering to provide a relaxed environment for business to take place in each of the three cities—Lagos in Nigeria, Nairobi in Kenya and Dubai in the UAE,” he added.

“One visitor met with me to discuss the event,” Gibbons said. “He told me he placed the largest order ever placed with a new supplier at the event. He will visit China in October to explore a deeper relationship with this supplier.” Other buyers also commented on the quality of the exhibitors.

“This marks the completion of the three VIP events we planned for the Middle East and Africa in 2024,” said Cecile Zheng, Vice General Manager of C-RT, the organizer.

“We have helped build a sense of community and industry in these three locations,” said Gustavo Molinatti, the C-RT Event Manager. “I was constantly approached by visitors thanking C-RT for bringing these events to the Middle East and Africa. It is very satisfying knowing you are helping to build their respective businesses and the industry in these regions.”

Despite the logistical challenges and frequent timezone changes, exhibitors seized every moment to engage with local buyers and deepen their understanding of the regional market.

More exhibitors will exhibit at the June RTMWorld VIP Imaging Expo-Americas in Santiago, Lima, and Sao Paulo. The organizer will also run the well-known RemaxWorld Expo in Zhuhai for the 18th year in a row. The three-day expo will be held from October 17 to 19, 2024.

The organiser team in Dubai included Gustavo Molinatti (Argentina), Cecile Zheng (China), Yomna Nabil (Egypt), Maggie Wang (China) and David Gibbons (Australia) along with Dubai-based staff to help with registration.
