Epson to Invest 10 billion Yen in PrecisionCore Inkjet Printing
Wirth Consulting (Denville, New Jersey), an Independent testing and consulting firm, reports in its newsletter WirthConsulting that Epson Toyko plans to enhance the production capacity of its PrecisionCore inkjet print heads. Epson is investing some 10 billion yen (about $98 million USD) from April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015 in production lines at its Suwa Minami (Nagano Prefecture) and Tohoku (Yamagata Prefecture) PrecisionCore production sites in Japan.
As reported in WirthConsulting, Epson claims its PrecisionCore print heads provide superfast print speeds and amazing image quality. They are used primarily in Epson’s office, commercial, and industrial inkjet printers. The company says its total investment in PrecisionCore will reach 40 billion yen (approximately $395 million U.S.) by fiscal 2015.
