Epson Unveils SC-S9150 Printer with Eco-Solvent Ink

Epson has announced the spring 2025 launch of its latest eco-solvent printer, the SC-S9150, designed to meet the growing demands of the sign and display market. Known for their high-quality output, productivity, and reliability, Epson’s eco-solvent printers have become a trusted choice for many businesses.

Outstanding Color Expression with Expanded Gamut

The SC-S9150 introduces a new green ink, expanding its color gamut by up to 19% compared to previous models. This enhancement enables precise reproduction of corporate colors and other exacting color specifications, delivering exceptional visual expression. Equipped with Epson’s latest PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead and advanced ink ejection technology, the SC-S9150 achieves superior image quality with sharper and more vibrant output.

The printer also improves resolution for standard PVC printing, enabling 10-pass printing at 1200×600 dpi, which minimizes banding even at standard settings. Additionally, the number of nozzles for white ink has been doubled compared to the previous SC-S80650/L model, improving both productivity and opacity.

Boosted Productivity for Tight Deadlines

Productivity is further enhanced with the upgraded printhead, which is approximately 1.3 times larger than the previous model, increasing print speeds by up to 11%. New features include automatic nozzle detection and compensation, as well as a media cleaner to remove dust and debris from media surfaces before printing. These innovations support stable operation, ensuring reliable performance for high-pressure environments.

Streamlined Design for Improved Workflow

The SC-S9150 features a redesigned body, approximately 30 cm shorter in height than its predecessor, offering better visibility and a more open workspace. The printer’s flat top design minimizes visual bulk, creating a more comfortable working environment.

A 4.3-inch touchscreen panel has been added for enhanced usability, along with a notification feature that alerts operators when media reaches a specified print length. Media handling has also been refined: operators can now replace media while maintaining a stable posture, thanks to repositioned loading points. Additionally, a media lifter, included as standard, simplifies the setup of heavy rolls, reducing physical strain during operation.
