This year, the theme of the International Women’s Day is “Accelerate Action”, highlighting the importance of taking swift and decisive actions to achieve gender equality .
Collectively, we can accelerate action for gender equality. In fact, there are individuals or groups that are already taking actual actions. This year, we have collected stories from different companies, either recognizing the excellence of their proud female colleagues, or depicting the ideal workplace atmosphere they have been building for them.
QRIE: Empowering Women Through Flexibility and Dedication
At QRIE, the company prioritizes both the professional and personal development of its female employees. Ms. Niu, the leader of the Purchasing and Logistics Department, is a prime example of balancing work and family life. By adopting a flexible schedule—starting early and leaving early—she effectively manages her responsibilities while caring for her children. Despite this arrangement, her performance remains exemplary, significantly contributing to the company’s success. Her dedication and efficiency have been an inspiration to the entire organization for years. As the co-owner of Apace, Ms. Zhou takes immense pride in the female employees who embody dedication, intelligence, and precision in every product the company manufactures. Ink-Tank: Championing Women’s Ambition and Well-being
With 57% of its office workforce being women, Ink-Tank firmly believes that resilience and compassion create the most inspiring workplace. Among them, Lily Lee, Asia-Pacific Regional Manager, epitomizes female leadership. Having been with the company for two-thirds of its history, she has achieved a remarkable milestone of nearly CN￥100 million in sales. Reflecting on her journey, she remarked, “This company rewards ambition, not gender. Effort is the only passport.”
To celebrate this year’s Women’s Day, Ink-Tank is presenting every female employee with a bespoke care package, which includes breast and cervical cancer screening services at Union Hospital. Recognizing the growing awareness of women’s health, the company is committed to safeguarding the well-being and career development of its female workforce in every aspect.

About International Women’s Day (IWD)
IWD was first established at the 1910 International Socialist Women’s Conference in Copenhagen. German women’s rights activist and Marxist theorist Clara Zetkin was the one who tabled the idea.
Marked by millions of people on March 8, IWD celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
