Fuji Xerox China Released Dream Print Solutions
Fuji Xerox China released “dream print” solutions in its 2013 Channel Partner Conference. The new releases include four laser printers and MFPs and five desktop laser devices. The “dream print” solutions appear to have two major components, Wi-Fi and mobile printing to capture more pages and lower priced toner cartridges to maximize the use of genuine Fuji Xerox supplies.
Photizo’s View
Many printer OEMs, Fuji Xerox included, continue to view China as a growth engine for the printing market. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Mr. Tadahito Yamamoto, President of Fuji Xerox, said in an interview in Singapore in April “’China has to take the lead’ in revenue growth so that the company, which earns about 60 percent of its revenue in Japan, can cut the domestic share of total revenue to 50 percent by the end of this fiscal year.” The fiscal year ends in March 2014, and its “dream print” solutions may well be a major part of Fuji Xerox’s growth strategy. Its success in our view depends on whether the combined strength of mobile printing and lower cost supplies can differentiate Fuji Xerox from other printer markers and generate enough value to business users.
