Gold East Offers Full Support for Kyocera Toners
Despite Kyocera not having the market share of other printer OEMs, China-based Gold East has invested in the purchase of a testing machine for every Kyocera model in every world market.
As a professional manufacturer of compatible toners for the KS series of Kyocera toner cartridges, Gold East has declared its commitment to providing quality products for the buyers, distributors and end-users of the products.
Gold East’s founding CEO, Mike Wang (pictured in his testing lab), explained despite using toner powder imported from Japan to ensure higher compatibility and printing performance, it is tested in the machines in the lab to make sure no toners will cause damage to customers’ machines.
With more than 23 years of technical experience, Gold East boasts a failure rate of less than 0.01% which is as good or better than OEM failure rates. According to Wang, Gold East is able to provide empty shells to match the EU standards. It is quick to release new products and customization is available.
Wang added hundreds of buyers from 72 countries continue to give loyalty to the Gold East products. According to Wang, customer loyalty is the key ingredient to the success of his business. He has spent the last 17 years making a compatible Kyocera toner, that works.
Wang set up his business in 2004 in Tanzhou, just over the river from Zhuhai in Guangdong province in southern China. He had worked as an engineer at Print-Rite before he started his own business. “We chose to position ourselves selling products either no one else was doing or couldn’t do well,” he said.
“Yes. In the beginning, there was no supply channel, no technical references, no technical personnel … and we had to get Kyocera copiers from every region so we could do our testing,” he said. He added that Kyocera cartridges are different in every region: they have different codes, different gears, different blocks, and chips.
For this reason, Gold East has now collected every Kyocera model from every region of the world for its testing lab.
“Each toner MUST match the drum and the magnetic roller perfectly or you will end up with defects like backgrounding, toner sticking to the rollers, OPC wear, and developer issues.”
It’s been a bold and ambitious 17-year strategy. But Mike Wang has successfully established loyal customers domestically in China, and in 72 countries across the globe.
“I trust my customers. My customers trust me,” he said.
