HP Introduces Sri Lanka’s First Large-Format Ink Tank Printers

HP has launched its first large-format ink tank printers in Sri Lanka with the introduction of the HP DesignJet Smart Tank T908 MFP and T858 SFP. These models, designed for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) professionals as well as copy shops, are distributed exclusively by The Technocity Ltd, a leading IT hardware provider in the country.

The 36-inch HP DesignJet series aims to deliver cost-effective, high-speed printing with enhanced security features. Engineered to support professionals working in hybrid environments, these printers enable seamless workflow integration, allowing users to produce high-quality large-format prints efficiently.

According to Gehan Thangappan, HP Products Business Head at The Technocity, the AEC sector demands both efficiency and precision, making reliable large-format printing a necessity. The HP DesignJet Smart Tank models offer printing speeds of up to 120 A1 pages per hour, ensuring professionals can meet tight deadlines. Additionally, the spill-free refillable ink tank system minimizes waste and maximizes cost efficiency.

Security is another key focus of the new lineup, with HP Wolf Security providing advanced endpoint protection to safeguard businesses from evolving cyber threats. This ensures that professionals handling sensitive architectural and engineering designs can print with confidence without compromising security.

Beyond performance, HP emphasizes sustainability through its Forest First initiative, where every printed page contributes to forest restoration efforts in collaboration with environmental non-profits.
