HP Opens New Delivery Center in the Philippines
HP recently opened a new delivery center in Two Cyberpod Centris, Quezon City, Philippines. The center will start commercial operations later this year. The site, the third location of its kind in the country, will provide off-shore applications infrastructure technology and business process outsourcing service. HP stated its presence in the country has grown since its first location opened in 2003. It said the new site highlights HP’s ongoing investment in both the Philippines and Asia.
Nathalie Bernardo, HP’s Director for ITO Global Delivery for Philippines and China, stated, “Today we have expanded… to this new location in Quezon City so this will serve as our growth area. We realized the north part of Metro Manila is very important to us, and this new facility will allow us to tap the talent pool in Quezon City. We know how challenging it is to be faced by natural disasters so it is important to us to have a business continuity alternate site.”
Bruce Dahlgren, HP’s Senior Vice President and General Manager for Enterprise Services for the Asia Pacific region and Japan, said it was exciting to see this chapter evolve since the new investment in the Philippines was something discussed in 2010 during HP’s meeting with President Aquino.
