HP to Move into New Site in South Australia

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is planning to upgrade and expand the long-abandoned former Payneham civic center site on the corner of Payneham, Adelaide, South Australia from the early 2015 and move in by June 2015, declared Jamie McClurg, Property developer Commercial & General managing director.

According to East Torrens Messenger, Mr. McClurg noted, “The company planned to double the size of the 6180m2 building by developing excess land at the site”, but the expansion date has not been confirmed yet. In addition, HP will consolidate its operations at Felixstow, Adelaide, South Australia, and relocating staff from its Lockleys offices through this new move. It is anticipated that more than 500 workers will move into the new offices.

As was revealed by Mr. McClurg, there were lots of work to be done and a great deal of technology to be installed in the building to make the site suitable for HP, which had delayed the move. Meanwhile, the interior design work was underway and internal walls had already been removed, added Mr. McClurg.
