HP To Target Commercial and Government Sectors

HP will target the commercial and Australian government sectors as its consumer printer business declined in Asia Pacific.

According to CRN, Han Kong Leong, VP of printing systems at HP APJ, asserted at an event in Mumbai that the OEM’s printing business in commercial sector recorded definitely increase. Thus, they will focus on the finance sector, insurance companies, and even government. Moreover, he noted in Australia, there is a lot of potential in the government sector because acceptance is high for managed print services, while the government market in other Asia countries is not quite as mature.

Leong spoke to CRN in Mumbai at the launch of HP Officejet Pro 6830 and HP Officejet 7612 Wide Format printers, which are aimed at SMB clients. They will be available this month throughout the Asia-Pacific.
