HP Trumpets Printer Sales Increase in West Bengal

As was reported by The Times of India, printer giant Hewlett-Packard announced its last fiscal year performance in West Bengal witnessed a 71% growth in the inkjet printer segment and 68% growth among laser printers, including MFPs.

Also, HP noted that West Bengal is the largest emerging market for the company in India in these two sectors.

Diptesh Ghosh, HP India’s Country Category Manager, stated, “HP markets in both laser and inkjet sectors is growing and we have registered 68% and 71% growth, respectively, in West Bengal in the last financial year.”

Recycling Times notes that this financial data supports our view that a dichotomy of growth trends exists in the office imaging industry with a steep rise in emerging markets, such as India, Indonesia, Russia and the Middle East, versus minimal expansion in mature markets, such as North America and Europe.
