HP’s World Tour Conference Debuts in Russia
HP announced that its unique global conference for IT-management, the HP World Tour, made its debut successfully in Moscow. It was the first time this event was held in Russia. At the conference, approximately 600 forum attendees discussed, large data bases, convergence clouds, security, mobile technologies, and other hot industry topics.
Simultaneously, HP introduced its Officejet Enterprise Color MFP X585 and HP Officejet Enterprise Color X555 during the event. Canon claims that compared against laser printers in the same class, the inkjet printer’s cost-per-page is 50% lower. These printers operate at speeds up to 70 pages per minute in general office mode, which is twice as fast as in-class competitive printers. In addition, this Officejet Series consumes up to 84% less power while printing and up to 25% less power (using the Energy Star Tec method) than competing laser printers.
The conference was assisted by Intel, Microsoft and VMware, HP’s key partners on the Russian and international markets. Also, Brocade, Fortinet, NVIDIA, Redhat, and SUSE all supported the event.
