Imaging Supplies Coalition Elects New Chairman

Praveen Kallayil (pictured), HP’s World Wide Brand Protection Manager, has been named Chairman of the Board at the Coalition’s annual meetings held on June 13, 2019. The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International Intellectual Property Protection (ISC) is a coalition of printer OEMs.

Kallayil succeeds Alf Andersen, Contract Attorney for Epson. Andersen recently retired from Epson and also announced his retirement from the ISC. The ISC’s president, Allen Westerfield, thanked Andersen for his proactive involvement and leadership. He said, “Alf Andersen will be missed. His contributions to the ISC and to brand protection, in general, cannot be overstated.”

Westerfield added, President of the Coalition said, ” Our new Chairman, Praveen Kallayil brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the Chair and we look forward to continuing to build on our programs and initiatives under his leadership.”

Rafi Haqqani, Director of Marketing, Supplies and Accessories, Brother International was elected Chair-Elect. Carl Nielsen, Manager of Global Brand Protection at Xerox was elected Secretary and Andrew Gardner WW Brand Protection Manager at Lexmark will continue in his role as Treasurer.

Jennifer Dirks, Brand Protection Manager at Epson was named Epson’s representative on the ISC Board. Yuki Kawakami continues to represent Canon on the board.

Westerfield went on to say, “Each of these officers has broad experience in the imaging supplies industry and are their companies’ leaders in developing intellectual property rights protection strategies to defend their companies’ brand from illegal activity.”

The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International Intellectual Property Protection, Inc. is a non-profit association of imaging supplies original equipment manufacturers. Coalition members are Brother International Corporation, Canon U.S.A., Inc., Epson America Inc., HP Inc., Lexmark International, Inc., and Xerox Corporation.
