InfoTrends: Businesses Rank Cost, Security Top Concerns in Adopting Mobile Solutions

InfoTrends recently complete a multi-client study titled, “Mobile Solutions and Services,” which reveals that cost and security are the most significant concerns for companies implementing handheld, laptop and portable computer devices.

According to the study, survey respondents highlight cost as a big driver for integrating mobile solutions into their workflow, while Healthcare and Financial/Insurance respondents found that security was a greater inhibitor. InfoTrends suggests vendors work to educate decision makers on mobile solution initiatives to help dispel some of the cost concerns and security barriers.

InfoTrends says as office document technology suppliers continue to push the boundaries of their traditional offerings, companies are eyeing ways to integrate mobile solution into the business infrastructure. “Mobile solutions suppliers will continue to jockey for position, develop services, cultivate new partnerships, and do whatever it takes to find their place at the table. Businesses will continue to investigate and educate themselves to the benefits of embracing mobile technology”, predicts InfoTrends. Thus, the organization expects “an enormous growth in mobile solutions in the next 12 months”.
