Ink-Tank Releases Fast Chip Upgrade Solution

Following a raft of printer upgrades by printer OEMs, China-based Ink-Tank has launched a simple solution that allows affected ink cartridges to keep functioning.

“Printer software upgrades often lock out aftermarket cartridges from working,” said Ivy Chang, Ink-Tanks District Sales Manager in Europe. “However, Ink-Tank has developed a new solution that will quickly update the cartridge chip, without having to remove it from the packaging.”

In its efforts to improve the efficiency of updating cartridge chips, Ink-Tank’s newly launched solution allows even a single cartridge to be updated quickly.

The Ink-Tank solution has been especially designed and allows its device to update each chip individually and precisely in each cartridge without having to unpack and repack the cartridges.

“You just place the cartridge—still in its packaging—on the upgrading device and in a single click it will be updated so it can function again in the printer,” said Chang.

To avoid any damage to chips during delivery, the new packaging design is wrapped with plastic film, but a window to the cartridge and chip allows easy access for the updating process.

“It is an eco-friendly, convenient, and efficient solution,” said Chang. “The open-chip packaging design simplifies the chip upgrade process and makes chip updating both accurate and quick. It reduces waiting time for customers and avoids financial losses.”

Specifications

Ink Tank also boasts it can customize packaging sizes and chip positions in accordance with model and color. In addition, it also offers customized labelling and branding for its customers.

Ink-Tank continues to be dedicated to improving chip upgrade efficiency through its packaging innovations. Previously, it launched a chip upgrade packaging solution for ink cartridge sets.
