Konica Minolta & Fujifilm Sign Joint Venture Agreement
Konica Minolta, Inc. announced this month that it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Fujifilm Business Innovation Corporation, marking a new phase in their cooperation on procurement of raw materials and part.
In April, Konica Minolta revealed its intention to explore potential partnerships with Fujifilm in a range of business segments, including office printers, multifunction printers, and production printers. The proposal to establish a joint venture to coordinate procurement of both companies was put forwarded at that time.
Following the signing of the agreement, additional details regarding the joint venture have been unveiled. Consistent with earlier announcements, Fujifilm will hold the majority ownership, and the venture is set to be established in the second quarter of fiscal year 2024.
