Konica Minolta Opens Sales Subsidiary in Thailand

Konica Minolta claims it has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Thailand to further expand its core office equipment business in that high-growth market.

The OEM reports it has been marketing its office equipment in Thailand through local distributorship, but decided to build a new subsidiary. This will enable Konica Minolta to better meet the specific needs of the Thai market and thoroughly focus on local customers. The new subsidiary is named, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (BTH).

Also, the company noted Inter Far East Engineering Public Company Ltd.—the current Thai distributor of Konica Minolta equipment—will be transferred to BTH.

With the establishment of a new subsidiary, Konica Minolta says it will further improve customer satisfaction and enhance business development capabilities through marketing empowerment, expansion and creation of a new sales channel. In addition, the new entity will ensure superior customer service.
