Konica Minolta US Divests ERP Business
Konica Minolta U.S. announced that it has sold its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business. The company initially launched this service in 2018 after acquiring MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWA), an SAP Business One partner that had developed an ERP platform for the imaging sector. The acquisition aimed to provide Konica Minolta U.S. dealers with a robust ERP platform to support the future of work and drive market transformation.
Despite the growing opportunities for this service, Konica Minolta has decided to narrow its focus and partner with an entity that can offer enhanced resources and technical expertise to further develop the platform. Dealers offering ERP solutions will now benefit from a new partner with superior SAP technological capabilities.
Starting July 1, Konica Minolta U.S. ERP customers will transition to Avaniko Technologies (Avaniko), an SAP Business One Gold Partner known for digital transformation in small and midsized businesses (SMBs). Avaniko helps SMBs improve business processes through automation, providing a seamless experience for customers, vendors, employees, and owners, and transforming them into Intelligent Enterprises.
“Over the last few years, we have continued to refine our go-to-market and investment strategy to best serve our dealer and direct channel customers. At this junction, we believe Avaniko is better staffed and suited to continue the ongoing development and support for the Forza platform,” said Sam Errigo, President and CEO of Konica Minolta U.S.
“At Avaniko, we excel in building industry specific solutions, which seamlessly integrate with SAP Business One as digital core,“ said Gary Shergill, CEO, Avaniko Technologies. “My vision is to transform the imaging vertical with SAP’s best practices and Intelligent solutions to adapt to their dynamically changing industry needs. Our philosophy, ‘begin with the end in mind,’ has been the cornerstone of our success for all ERP Projects and improved customer experience.”
