Nine OEMs Win IDC 2013 Print Vendor Awards

International Data Corp. Canada (Toronto, Ontario) announced the winners of its annual Print Vendor Awards for 2013. Analysts said that those winners, including Brother, Canon, HP, Lexmark, OKI, Ricoh, Samsung, Toshiba and Xerox, held the largest market share in the printer market.

As was revealed, the awards result from the sales data of manufacturers in 2013. Those winners were recognized in three categories, including, Sub-Technology (Laser, MFP/Printer, Color/Monochrome); Format (A3/A4); and Speed Range.

Evan Hardie, Research Manager at IDC Canada, commented, “2013 was a year of transition for most print vendors in the Canadian market. Lower than usual consumer confidence, plus the delayed renewal of large print contracts made it a very challenging year for most. What sets IDC Canada’s Print Vendor Awards apart is its reliance on tangible quantitative data. We are pleased to award vendors who achieved top sales in specific categories of the print market in Canada.”
