Ninestar Offers a Solution to Cope with Firmware Updates
Previously, RT reported how the current president of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association, Joe Kripli, was frustrated by HP printer firmware which rejected the reman cartridges.
To this end, Ninestar introduced its Unismart Firmware Upgrade (UFU), a revolutionary solution, which was launched in 2020. Ninestar claims that it is designed to help reset cartridges and to minimize the loss by saving time and labor costs,
Ninestar also claims that the solution can upgrade both toners as well as inkjet cartridges.
“Unismart, the powerful chip resetting machine and the smart “brain” of the whole UFU solution, is flexible enough to have different portable resetting tools fitted to it. So, you can easily upgrade “locked-out” toner cartridges or inkjet cartridges as needed,” said the spokesman of Ninestar.

With Unismart, users can identify the chip information of locked-out cartridges through a quick scanning of the QR code of your cartridge packaging before upgrading.

A printer firmware is a program stored on the printer that allows it to operate smoothly and to provide a positive end-user experience. One subtle but important role the firmware plays is to authenticate the cartridges which are installed.
When detected anything other than the original cartridge, “suggested” software updates will tell the chip to turn off the printer.
