Office Solutions Business Plants More than 2000 Trees

Outstanding in his field, Darren Turner plants another tree on behalf of his customers

As part of its own environmental strategy, MY Total Office Solutions, along with its partners, has planted 2,140 trees on a 26-acre farm in Northwestern England.

“We’ve just purchased and planted 1,000 oak trees along with our charity partner Shiva Trust,” said Darren Turner (pictured), director of My Total Office Solutions. Turner’s staff in his business plants a tree for every signed-up customer wanting a technology solution. My Total Office Solutions services its customers with office supplies, stationery, workplace solutions and office furniture. According to Turner, every customer is provided with a certificate showing where “their tree” was planted.

According to Turner, the planting of trees is the biggest and cheapest way to tackle the climate crisis. As trees grow, they absorb and store carbon dioxide emissions that drive global change.

What a tree-mendous result for the environment

“Scientific research estimates, a worldwide planting programme could remove two-thirds of all the emissions that have been pumped into the atmosphere by human activities. A figure the scientists describe as “mind-blowing”.

Back in August 2019, Turner’s business pledged to plant 1,000 trees and they have more than doubled their target.

Shiva Trust charity manager, Anand Ennis Cole added: “We’re so grateful to Darren, his customers and partner businesses for their continued support.”

“Not only is it great news for the environment, but it also provides a green endorsement to their brand, enhances their existing corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, whilst financially supporting our well-being mental health charity.”
