OKI Malaysia Rolls out New LED Printers
OKI Malaysia announced the launch of three new LED printers to strengthen its A4 monochrome workgroup for medium and large enterprises. The group incluses two monochrome printers–B721dn and B731dn—and one color multifunction printer (MFP) ES7400.
The B721dn prints at speeds up to 47 ppm (pages per minute) for A4 pages and the B731dn at up to 52 ppm. Each printer supports 18,000-page and 25,000-page toner cartridges, but the B731dn can also handle a 36,000-page toner cartridge. Plus, the two new models provide several features, including an Ethernet port and automatic duplex printing, a paper tray for holding up to 630 sheets and a printing resolution of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi (dots per inch).
The ES7400 MFP prints at up to 40 ppm in color or monochrome, and at a resolution of up to 1,200 x 600 dpi. Also, it features advanced security measures and supports the smart Extendable Platform, which is an open application programming interface platform.
According to OKI, the B721dn and B731dn will be available in the market this August. However, the ES7400 MFP will only be served in a “pay per print” model under OKI’s Managed Print Service program. This model requires customers to pay RM200 (USD $ 62.62) per month for a five-year contract. Further, each black and white printout will cost 3 sen, and one A4 color page will cost 50 sen.
Goh Yin Hwang, Country Manager of OKI Data, said, “The launch of the new models would further enhance OKI’s competitiveness in the printer industry and tender projects in (the) government sector and government linked companies.”
