Photizo Finds Inkjet Cartridge Shipments Declined
Photizo’s Supplies Advisory Service reveals that worldwide ink jet cartridge shipments were 1.66 billion units in 2012 and fell to 1.64 billion in 2013. Global revenues declined from $28.45 billion in 2012 to $27.5 billion in 2013, down 3.5%. Photizo’s research group predicts unit shipments of inkjet cartridges will experience a decline of 4.4% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) while worldwide revenue will fall 6% CAGR.
According to Photizo, the landscape of inkjet OEMs has drastically changed over the last five years. But the inkjet market still has to suffer since it competes against declining page volume. Photizo suggests Inkjet OEMs “take a somber look at the market and discover new avenues of growth”.
