Photizo Finds IT Departments in Western Europe Weigh Heavily in MPS Decisions
Market research group Photizo reports that its recent survey in Western Europe revealed an unexpected result. Over half of the decision makers for selecting and negotiating MPS provider’s contracts work in the IT department, while another 40% work in either Facilities Management or Purchasing.
As was noted by Photizo, it is not unexpected that IT is heavily involved in MPS provider selection and contract negotiation. Results of studies show that most IT shops are heavily focused on maintenance and cost control measures with their daily task to maintain and support the infrastructure.
Photizo acknowledged MPS is a priority and suggested MPS providers “aggressively offset the ongoing contract spend reductions now expected by MPS buyers with more value-add services”.
