Print-Rite Bags Another Patent Award

Union Technology International (MCO) Co. Ltd. (UTec), the master global distributor of Print-Rite, announced Print-Rite’s SamrTact^TMCartridge has won one more patent award last month.

As was unveiled, the innovative cartridge won the Outstanding Patent Prize by People’s Government of Guangdong Providence on August 28. The firm noted that the cartridge equips with the core technology of its patented switching system, which enables a contact development cartridge to work in a jump development printer and widens the applications for different cartridges. Moreover, it brings benefits to the users for a better page yield performance – 133% or more and less Carbon Dioxide emission (75% or more) compared with OEMs.

The company added that the cartridge won the China Patent Excellent Award at the 15th WIPO-SIPO Award ceremony for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention and Industrial Design at the end of 2013. The WIPO-SIPO Award is the most honorable patent award in China. It is a joint effort of China’s State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO). It recognizes Chinese inventors, designers and right holders who are delivering outstanding contributions to the country’s technical innovation and economic development. Also, the company acquired the Golden Award of the 9th SIPO-WIPO Patent Award for its 86T Inkjet Cartridge in 2005. As the only enterprise winning the nation-level award twice in China, the company has applied and registered 2,239 patents by July, 2014, said the statement.
